About Love

If you find yourself in love with someone who does not love you, be gentle with yourself. There is nothing wrong with you. Love just didn't choose to rest in the other person's heart.

If you find someone else in love with you and you don't love him/ her, feel honored that love came and called at your door, but gently refuse the gift you cannot return. Do not take advantage, do not cause pain.

How you deal with love is how you deal with you, and all our hearts feel the same pains and joys, even if our lives and ways are different.

If you fail in love with another, and he falls in love with you, and then love chooses to leave, do not try to reclaim it or to assess blame, Let it go. There is a reason and there is a meaning. You will know in time.

Remember that you don't choose love. Love chooses you. All you can really do is accept it for all its mystery when it comes into our life. Feel the way it fills you to overflowing, then reach out and give it away. Give it back to the person who brought it alive in you. Give it to others who deem it poor in spirit. Give it to the world around you in anyway you can.

There is where many lovers go wrong. Having been so long without love, they understand love only as a need. They see their hearts as empty places that will be filled by love, and they begin to look at love as something that flows to them rather than from them. The first blush of new love is filled to overflowing, but as their love cools, they revert to seeing their love as need. They cease to be someone who generates love and instead become someone who seeks love. They forget that the secret of love is that it is a gift, and that it can be made to grow only by giving it away.

Remember this, and keep it to your heart. Love has its own time, its own reasons, and its own reason for coming and going. You cannot bribe it or coerce it, or reason it into saying. You can only embrace it when it arrives and give it away when it comes to you. But if it chooses to leave from your heart or from the heart of your lover, there is nothing you can do and there is nothing you should do. Love always has been and always will be a mystery. Be glad that it came to live for a moment in our life.

IF YOU KEEP YOUR HEART OPEN, IT WILL COME AGAIN.

Anyway

People are often unreasonable, illogical, and self-centered; Forgive them anyway.

If you are kind, People may accuse you of selfish, ulterior motive; Be kind anyway.

If you are successful, You will win some false friends and some true enemies. Succeed anyway.

If you are honest and frank, People may cheat you; Be honest and frank anyway.

What you spend years building, Someone could destroy overnight; Build anyway.

If you find serenity and happiness, They may be jealous; Be happy anyway.

The good you do today, People will often forget tomorrow; Do good anyway.

Give the world the best you have, And it may never be enough; Give the world the best you  have anyway.

You see, in the final analysis, it is between you and God; It was never between you and them anyway.

Children learn what they live

Children learn what they live, children live what they learn, teach them the way with love in your heart, and they will find love in the world.

If a child lives with criticism, he learns to condemn; If a child lives with hostility, he learns to fight; If a child lives with ridicule, he learns to be shy; If a child lives with shame, he learns to be guilty.

If a child lives with tolerance, he learns to be patient; If a child lives with encouragement, he learns confidence; If a child lives with praise, he learns to appreciate; If a child lives with fairness, he learns justice.

If a child lives with security, he learns to have faith; If a child lives with approval, he learns to like himself; If a child lives with acceptance & friendship, he learns to find love in the world.

Eleanor Roosevelt wrote:

Many people will walk in and out of your life, But only true friends will leave footprints in your heart.

To handle yourself, use your head;
To handle others, use your heart.

Anger is only one letter short of danger.

If someone betrays you once, it is his fault;
If he betrays you twice, it is your fault.

Great minds discuss ideas;
Average minds discuss events;
Small minds discuss people.

He who loses money, loses much;
He, who loses a friend, loses much more;
He, who loses faith, loses all.

Beautiful young people are accidents of nature,
But beautiful old people are works of art.

Learn from the mistakes of others.
You can't live long enough to make them all yourself.

Friends, you and me....
You brought another friend....
And then there were 3....
We started our group....
Our circle of friends....
And like that circle....
There is no beginning or end....

Yesterday is history.
Tomorrow is mystery.
Today is a gift.

It's National Friendship Week.
Show your friends how much you care....
Send this to everyone you consider a FRIEND. If it comes back to you, then you'll know you have a circle of friends.

The Hundredth Monkey

by Ken Keyes, jr.

The Japanese monkey, Macaca fuscata, had been observed in the wild for a period of over 30 years.

In 1952, on the island of Koshima, scientists were providing monkeys with sweet potatoes dropped in the sand. The monkeys liked the taste of the raw sweet potatoes, but they found the dirt unpleasant.

An 18-month-old female named Imo found she could solve the problem by washing the potatoes in a nearby stream. She taught this trick to her mother. Her playmates also learned this new way and they taught their mothers too.

This cultural innovation was gradually picked up by various monkeys before the eyes of the scientists.

Between 1952 and 1958 all the young monkeys learned to wash the sandy sweet potatoes to make them more palatable.

Only the adults who imitated their children learned this social improvement. Other adults kept eating the dirty sweet potatoes.

Then something startling took place. In the autumn of 1958, a certain number of Koshima monkeys were washing sweet potatoes -- the exact number is not known.

Let us suppose that when the sun rose one morning there were 99 monkeys on Koshima Island who had learned to wash their sweet potatoes.

Let's further suppose that later that morning, the hundredth monkey learned to wash potatoes.

THEN IT HAPPENED!

By that evening almost everyone in the tribe was washing sweet potatoes before eating them.

The added energy of this hundredth monkey somehow created an ideological breakthrough!

But notice.

A most surprising thing observed by these scientists was that the habit of washing sweet potatoes then jumped over the sea --

Colonies of monkeys on other islands and the mainland troop of monkeys at Takasakiyama began washing their sweet potatoes.

Thus, when a certain critical number achieves an awareness, this new awareness may be communicated from mind to mind.

Although the exact number may vary, this Hundredth Monkey Phenomenon means that when only a limited number of people know of a new way, it may remain the conscious property of these people.

But there is a point at which if only one more person tunes-in to a new awareness, a field is strengthened so that this awareness is picked up by almost everyone!

I ask God

I asked God to take away my pain. God said, No. It is not for me to take away, but for you to give it up.

I asked God to make my handicapped child whole. God said, No. Her spirit is whole and her body is only temporary.

I asked God to grant me patience. God said, No. Patience is a by-product of tribulations; it isn't granted, it is earned.

I asked God to give me happiness. God said, No. I give you blessings.  Happiness is up to you.

I asked God to spare me pain. God said, No. Suffering draws you apart from worldly cares and brings you closer to me.

I asked God to make my spirit grow. God said, No. You must grow on your own, but I will prune you to make you fruitful.

I asked for all things that I might enjoy life. God said, No. I will give you life so that you may enjoy all things.

I ask God to help me LOVE others, as much as he loves me. God said... Ahhhh, finally you have the idea.

Man in the flood

As the water began to rise around the man's house a truck came along to take him to safety. The man refused the ride saying that God would take care of him. As the water rose the man had to move upstairs in his house and a boat came to rescue him. Again he stayed in his house saying that God would look after him. The floods worsened and the man was forced to climb onto his roof where a helicopter lowered a rope to him.   For a third time he refused to leave, claiming that God would provide for him. The water continued to rise and the man drowned. When the man arrived in heaven, he angrily told God that he had trusted in Him but that He had let him down by not saving him from the flood. "What do you mean?" said God. "First I sent a truck, then a boat and finally a helicopter, what more could I do?"

Reason, Season, or Lifetime

People come into your life for a Reason, a Season, or  a Lifetime.   When
you figure out which it is, you know exactly what to do.

When someone is in your life for a REASON, it is usually to meet a need
you have expressed outwardly or inwardly.
They have come to assist you through a difficulty, to provide you with
guidance and support, to aid you physically, emotionally, or spiritually.

They may seem like a godsend, and they are. They are there for the
reason you need them to be.  Then, without any wrong doing on your part
or at an inconvenient time, this person will say or do something to bring
 the relationship to an end.
Sometimes they die.  Sometimes they walk away.   Sometimes they act up or
out and force you to take a stand.  What we must realize is that our need
has been met, our desire fulfilled; their work is done. The
prayer you sent up has been answered and it is now time to move on.

When people come into your life for a SEASON, it is because your turn has
come to share, grow, or learn.  They may bring you an experience of peace
or make you laugh.  They may teach you something you have never done.
They usually give you an unbelievable amount of  joy.

Believe it!  It is real !  But, only for a season.

LIFETIME  relationships teach you lifetime lessons; those things you must
build upon in order to have a solid emotional foundation.
Your job is to accept the lesson, love the person/people (anyway); and
put what you have learned to use in all other relationships and areas of
your life.  It is said that love is blind but friendship is clairvoyant.

Thank you for being a part of my life...Smile and stop here if you're not
into this final part:  This is to show people you love them and to see
how many people love you!!  Don't feel embarrassed cause only you will
get the results.  Send it to every friend that you have online, including
the person who sent it to you.

0 Replies = you may need to work on your people skills

 on MY list)!

That's all you have to do.  There is nothing attached. This is the power
 of prayer at work.
Just send this to (4) people and see what happens on the fourth day.  Do
not break this, please.  There is no cost, but lots of rewards.

 PRAYER:
May today there be peace within you.
May you trust God that you are exactly where you are meant to be.
May you not forget the infinite possibilities that are born of faith.
May you use those gifts that you have received, and pass on the love that
 has been given to you.
May you be content knowing that you are a child of God.
Let His presence settle into your bones, and allow your soul the freedom
to sing, dance, and to bask in the sun.
It is there for each and every one of you.

Send this to (4) or more people and witness the awesome power of prayer.

 God Bless.

Reflection with a smile

  1. Maybe God wants us to meet a few wrong people before meeting the right one so that when we finally meet the right person, we should know how to be grateful for that gift.
  2. A sad thing about life is that when you meet someone who means a lot  to you only to find out in the end that it was never bound to be and you just have to let go.
  3. When one door of happiness closes, another opens but often we look so long at the closed door that we don't see the one which has been opened for us.
  4. The best kind of friend is the one you could sit on a porch, swing with, never say a word, and then walk away feeling like that was the best conversation you've had.
  5. Its' true that we don't know what we've got until we lose it, but it's  also true that we don't know what we've been missing until it arrives.
  6. Never say goodbye when you still want to try - never give up when you still feel you can take it -
  7. It takes a minute to have a crush on someone, an hour to like someone and a day to love someone - but it takes a lifetime to forget someone.
  8. Don't go for looks; it can deceive; don't go for wealth - even
that fades away. go for someone who makes you smile coz' only a smile makes a dark day seem bright. Hope you find that person.
  9. Dream what you want to dream; go where you want to go; be what you
want to be cuz you have only one life and one chance to do all the things
    you want in life.
  10. May you have enough happiness to make you sweet, enough trials to make you strong, enough sorrow to keep you human, enough hope to make you
    happy.
  11. Always put yourself in other's shoes. if you feel that it hurts you, it probably does hurt the person, too.
  12. A careless word may kindle strife; a cruel word may wreck a life; a timely word may level stress; a loving word may heal and bless.
  13. The beginning of friendship is to let those we consider friend be perfectly themselves, and not to twist them with our own image - otherwise, we love only the reflection of ourselves we find in them.
  14. The happiest of people don't necessarily have the best of everything; they just make the most of everything that comes along their way.
  15. Happiness lies for those who cry, those who hurt, those who have searched and those who have tried. For only they can appreciate the importance of people who have touched their lives.
  16. The brightest future will always be based on a forgotten past, you can't go on well in life until you let go of your past failures and heartaches.

SIMPLE VS REAL

A simple friend has never seen you cry.
A real friend has shoulders soggy from your tears.

A simple friend doesn't know your parents' first names.
A real friend has their phone numbers in his address book.

A simple friend brings a bottle of wine to your party.
A real friend comes early to help you cook and stays late to help you clean.

A simple friend hates it when you call after he has gone to bed.
A real friend asks you why you took so long to call.

A simple friend seeks to talk with you about your problems.
A real friend seeks to help you with your problems.

A simple friend wonders about your romantic history.
A real friend could blackmail you with it.

A simple friend, when visiting, acts like a guest.
A real friend opens your refrigerator and helps himself.

A simple friend thinks the friendship is over when you have an argument.
A real friend knows that it's not a friendship until after you've had a fight.

A simple friend expects you to always be there for them.
A real friend expects to always be there for you!

Pass this on to anyone you care about....if you get it back you have found your true friends! A ball is a circle, No beginning, no end. It keeps us together,
Like our Circle of Friends, But the treasure inside for you to see is the treasure of friendship, You've granted to me.

Today I pass the friendship ball to you. Pass it on to someone who is a friend to you....
